Evolution of web solutions

A classification of the development of Web-based solutions is that proposed by Nova Spivak, Radar Networks & Davis Mill, presented in Project10x SICOP Special Conference, which bring together the various solutions along the two dimensions of connectivity and knowledge by identifying, at the same time, an evolutionary opportunities. The four stages of evolution are:

  • the connection information: WEB 1.0;
  • the connection of people: WEB 2.0;
  • the connection of knowledge: WEB 3.0;
  • connection of minds: WEB 4.0 (which converge and integrate the solutions of the previous stages).

As for Web 2.0 technologies, the ones that most concern the ONA, the opportunities are:

  • the ability to leverage the collective intelligence and knowledge of the network. Users add new concepts and new sites are in turn integrated into the structure of other users who find the content. Aggregations, associations and communities become stronger and grow organically and freely through the cooperation of all;
  • the availability, speed and ease of access to information associated with low or zero cost of such information are making ever more powerful end-consumers , no longer subordinated
  • the opportunity to freely express their ideas freely, to exchange views and opinions as well as dynamically display concepts and content with catchy graphics without requiring special expertise and technical knowledge, the possibility
  • to be informed promptly, and to qualify the information through different channels;
  • can free, open and spontaneous network participants to not only create content, but also to enrich the already existing open source communities are a perfect example.
